In recent years there have been a lot of changes going down on the internet transforming the landscape. Opportunities that were once there, and simple to utilise and make money from are now no longer lucrative or have disappeared.
Once Amazon took away Text + Image links the simplicity of being able to place a product image using HTML vanished along with any future sales.
I also discovered that Amazon joined forces with Meta enabling customers in the US to link their Facebook and Instagram accounts directly to Amazon.
All of these things became detrimental to any future I was hoping to make.
However, I'm always looking for new opportunities online to create new revenue streams, and have started my own podcast via Substack. So it's not all bad news!
I would love to hear your thoughts about your experience with Amazon as an affiliate, or whether or not you think being an affiliate is worth it anymore?
